The Austrian labor market is dynamically characterized by job shifts as well as terminations and employment recordings. As a result of the constantly changing demand situation, sectors are growing or contracting, which leads to new companies being founded or dissolved. In order to have a convincing portfolio of educational services as an educational institution, it is essential to identify the needs of the labor market and to cover them. Legal changes also cause educational organizations creating new offers. In my master thesis, I‘m therefore concerned with the Austrian labor market policy and its connection with the offered qualification measures at bfi Steiermark in the region of Eastern Styria. In more detail, the years 2007, 2012 and 2017 are considered in all chapters.Due to my professional connection to this topic, I have tried to provide an overview and concise knowledge transfer in this master thesis with the aim of comparing the factors of labor market policy and the range of offers of qualification measures within the same regional structure at three different time periods. For this purpose, a high number of documents of the Public Employment Service were categorized and analyzed on the basis of a document analysis, and the results were confirmed by statements of an expert interview. As a result of this master thesis, it can be summarized that there is a causal relationship between active labor market policy and the structure of qualification measures.
