With the increasing societal interest in early childhood education and development, institutions of early childhood intervention were given more attention. In order to holistically accompany, observe and support child development, all institutions involved in the childs development have to cooperate. Accordingly, in recent years many partner-ships between the institutions came into existence. For Styria one should mention the cooperation of city kindergartens and mobile early childhood intervention through an integrative team for additional support. In practice many problems but also new opportunities already occurred by these partnerships.Until now, the Austrian research landscape has only considered partnerships between institutions of elementary education and parents as well as between early childhood intervention and parents. For that reason, my present research is dedicated to the cooperation of kindergartens and systems of early childhood intervention, as it is an important foundation for accompanying the development of children. Due to their short time of existence, the partnerships of the two institutions show room for improvement.In the present thesis Id like to present which prospects and challenges come into existence through the cooperation of kindergartens and early childhood development, in or-der to illustrate rooms for improvement which can be important for future partnerships.
