The focus of this research is the short professional inclusion of people suffering from the Asperger syndrome in the general employment market. This issue was taken up, in order to increase public awareness of the strengths of these people, who to this day, get too little attention by the companies in Austria. In the course of this research it had to be found out, which barrieres those people are confronted with, on their journey into professional life, and how they can best be counteracted, in oder to enable a successful inclusion in the future. The aim is to illustrate the great potential of employees with Asperger syndrome, and that this potential may be very useful for the employer. In the context of a qualitative research there were contucted eight interviews, of which three were made with experts, and the other five interviewed persons, were participants with Aspergers syndrome. Evaluation is done using computer-aided software and a content analytical study. In total, three different institutions from three provinces, all in Austria, were chosen, which illustrates, that in Austria there is a great lack of educational work concerning this topic. Furthermore through the analysis was found out, that there are not enough offers and possibilities to support these people, and that there is great lack of specific expertise, not only on the part of the company, but also on the part of parents and doctors. The knowledge about this phenomenon and its particularities can help to enable these people living a fullfilled valuable life in future . By means of educational work, prejudices can be broken down, and this is how the way for many people into professional life is paved.
