To counter the problem of global, public goods in todays economic system, this work discusses concepts of sustainability based on indicators. These indicators are divided into one- and more-dimensional indicators, former used for the theoretical and later for the political approach. A general OLG-Modell for intertemporal growth- and environmental dynamics serves to review the indicators and provide political instruments. In order to realistically adopt the ideas into politics, political and international, institutional competition is necessary. By this means, it is possible to implement a sustainable growth-path into an economy.
