The issue of stress is of great importance in todays fast paced world. Many people feel stressed, tense and are already burnt-out. It is important that each person takes responsibility for themselves and find a suitable way to cope with the stress adequately and individually. Various relaxation techniques such as autogenic training and progressive muscle relaxation are possible forms of stress management. Furthermore, it is useful to deal with the stressors, their own perception and personal attitude on specific topics. In my master thesis “Stress down Relax up. Designing a stress management seminar for adults” I address the above topic. The present work consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals mainly with the term provisions. Issues such as disease prevention, health promotion, while mentioning the concept of salutogenesis, stress and relaxation to be discussed. In addition, I cover learning relevant educational concepts such as education, adult education and lifelong learning. Furthermore, the steps of planning at the seminar will be presented in the theory part, which is the basis for the subsequent practical part. Based on this, the seminar planning is performed in the practical part. Objectives, learning content, agenda, a seminar announcement and a catalogue of methods are defined and created for the stress management seminar. Seminar, module, time content, social form/method and mediums are again collected in the direction book. At the end of the master`s thesis you will have and seminar concept at hand, which in addition to all the scientific background also can be used for practical application arises.
