This master thesis deals with the reunification process of children with their origin family systems. The aim of this work is to provide an overview of key aspects of the reunification issue and their implementation in the Austrian child and youth welfare system. In this context, the conditions of reunification processes in Austria, the optimal design of reunification processes, the professional family work and influence factors for successful reunification processes are the core of this thesis. In the empirical part, a practical context using semi-structured interviews with mothers, whose children have been successfully reintegrated into the family of origin, is made. The focus is on the key aspects of the process design, the existing support of the families of origin as well as factors influencing successful reunification processes in the practice.
