Nowadays, we are facing a situation where the health of today`s youth is being jeporazied. This is due to changing life conditions in the modern western society as well as continually involving diseases. First and foremost, a lack of physical exercise makes a contribution to the appearance of diseases. Therefore the retention of health promotion has become even more important. Diseases should be prevented by emphasizing a healthier way of living, Physical exercise and work-out are considered as means to raise awareness of a healthier way of living, and as such, they affect life of human beings in a positive way. Primarily, endurance sport contributors to the physical, mental and even social healthiness of young people and improve their lives in a positive way. Hence, endurance sport is essentially vital in the field of health education. Unfortunately, young people do not prefer performing endurance sport as they consider it as being too exhausting, too insipidly, or even too time consuming.This diploma thesis discusses the importance of endurance sport in the field of constitutional education. The thesis aims to elaborate on ways to motivate young people to perform endurance sport, and to make endurance sport more attractive to them. Moreover, it explains how the healthiness of young people can be improved while performing endurance sports. Within the theoretical part of the thesis, the author analyses several aspects of health promotion and endurance sports. In the practical part of the thesis, the author designs six two-hour classes for high school students, which include the compiled sections of the theoretical part of the thesis. Thus, the chosen exercises are considered as constitutional and motivating for the pupils.
