The target of this thesis was the question about the quality of the adult education. To find out, what measures are in the working process essential for vocational training institutions, which they can ensure the quality of their institution, there were two important sections imported, namely a theoretical part and an empirical study. The first main part of this thesis was ultimately designed with four chapters, dealt with the starting position, in fact, the staff development, the quality management, the adult education and the key skills in the education of adults. In the focus of the theory, there were two essential points, namely the measures of quality assurance and the safeguarding of the quality. The empirical study based on three premises, like the staffing requirements, the selection of quality management system and future requirements at the training market. The study was carried out with three Human Resource Managers from vocational training institutions. This scientific work shows finally an overview about the professionalization in the adult education. In this context, possibilities and limitations are pointed out for quality assurance.
