The study entitled "The memory of the body. The significance of the memory of pain and the motor-physical memory for amnesic persons" deals with the implicit body memory of human beings, which contains a categorial difference to the explicit autobiographical memory. Two manifestations of the body memory, the memory of pain and the motor-physical memory, are being analyzed utilizing different examples. Afterwards the study shows, how the body memory can be used within therapy for amnesic individuals. Lastly, the consequences of investigative results for the philosophical understanding of the body and treatment options within therapy are being discussed.
