The present master thesis examines the specific challenges, which derive during the first creation of a CSR-report for FC Ingolstadt 04. The methodology for answering the research question are the action research and the systemic theory of organizations. The author participates therefore actively in the research field during the creation of the CSR-report. For differentiation purpose, the CSR-reports of VfL Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV are being analyzed and ultimately compared to the report of FC Ingolstadt 04.The developmental process will be shown by five stages: (1) the stage of preparation, (2) the stage of combination, (3) the stage of definition, (4) the stage of writing, (5) the stage of publication. Every single stage will be shown separately and portrayed by a process reflection. Furthermore, every single stage will be compared with the appropriate stage of other clubs (Hamburger SV and VfL Wolfsburg). Expert interviews from direct participants will help to understand the situation. Therefore, it is possible to differentiate the situation of specific challenges at FC Ingolstadt 04 and other competing clubs.Every single of the five stages investigates learning effects, which are vital for the club, the employees and the author. Especially synergetic effects between separate departments, the awareness of different stakeholders, the prioritization for main topics at CSR department, the implementation for new environmental and socially minded topics and the reprocessing of feedback after the publication can be shown as major findings. Moreover, the thesis is helpful for following reports of FC Ingolstadt 04. Old paradigms can be taken off and new professional standards can be braced within the organization and the CSR department of the club.
