Rituals in the context of religious education for children and youth. Experiences and perspectives from projects in Gurk Cathedral.This work has set itself the aim of describing the rituals that are conducted in the Orientation Days and Peace Days in Gurk Cathedral with children and young people, to describe further details to show the educational and spiritual potential of this particular ritual. In the first chapter, the theoretical part, the term ritual is discussed, and the history and significance of the Gurk Cathedral is represented. In this context, the life and work of the Holy Hemma and the legends about her person are considered.In the second chapter, the practical part, the implementation and the advice report are described in connection with the application of religious rituals in accordance for children and teenagers. Furthermore, the projects Peace Days and Orientation Days are discussed and the individual rituals are also illuminated. The feedback from the children and young people to these projects and the advice of leaders and teachers take up a large part of this chapter. The completion of this work is a personal experience report and the resulting resume from that.
