This thesis focuses on the interdisciplinary teaching of the subjects Human Kinetics & Sports and Biology & Environmental Education. For this purpose an interdisciplinary school project week with emphasis on ?nature experience? is presented. The aim is to show the possible benefits of the combination of nature, sports and outdoor activities. To begin with, there is an overview of the pedagogic idea of ?nature experience?, including the major concepts of outdoor education. Afterwards, a reference to the syllabus of lower secondary education shows how nature experience can be implemented in school lessons. The outdoor activities hiking, toprope climbing and rafting should serve as examples for adventure sports, which require a certain amount of awareness towards nature. This section is dealing with the preparation work necessary for outdoor activities, including the required equipment, the planning of open country games and vital safety precautions. Furthermore, ecological aspects are taken into consideration. The concluding part of this thesis addresses the practical implementation of a school project week at the Frauenalpe in Salzburg. An accurate scheme of the week is outlining teaching and learning contents, outdoor activities as well as games and exercises.
