In this paper, which is submitted for a diploma, I want to deal with those relationships between employer and employee which are completed within a season and rely on this. First I want to define what ?seasonal employment? is and give a definition for it. The focus of this work is to show the basic work-contracts possibilities for a so-called seasonal employment and to what extent it can be completed within a permanent or temporary employment contract, and furthermore, which legal consequences and problems can occur. Besides I want to deal with the individual legal rights of employees. Since many foreign employees have a seasonal employment, I want to illustrate the specific conditions of admission for an employment. In particular I want to point out the specific agreements in Austria and Germany and which arrangements the Commission`s draft directive for the employment of seasonal workers has provided.
