The diploma thesis deals with the school-related prevention of obesity. It is characterised by the impartation of the perspective of physical exercise and by its interdisciplinary character. Due to the increasing number of adipose children and teenagers, it makes the attempt to integrate preventive measures into pupils? everyday school life. At the beginning of the thesis, the disease and its extent was explained in detail. The chapter etiology of obesity forms the basis of the prevention of the disease and was therefore been developed on a large scale and rich in perspective. Influencable causes in the behaviour of nutrition and movement was elaborated in particular as well as filtering the environmental and psychosocial influencing factors. The prevention concept is defined by the ascertainment of the curricula with the prevention contents of obesity - in subjects such as ?exercise and sport?, ?musical education? and ?history and social studies?. All of these prevention contents are health-promoting measures, retrospectively resulting from the previous mentioned etiology. Amongst other things, this includes body awareness exercises, forms of body expression and an increased media competence. In this form of prevention, the main goal is to develop and strengthen a desirable behaviour pattern. The intermediation of these contents deliberately happens active, interdisciplinary, with a view to a more positive self-concept and in connection with a relevant topic. The prevention of obesity therefore guarantees a consequently regular and long-term realisation. It also ensures an integral awareness for the own body, increases the ability to act and does not show any adipogenic problem-solving strategies. Moreover, a stigmatisation can be prevented. A healthy lifestyle can be conveyed for pupils in the development stage of early adolescence. Due to the knowledge, the prevention of obesity provides a solid base, which grants a future realisation with prospect of success.
