This thesis deals with the integration potential of ”Physical Activity and Sports“ in connection with unattended underage refugees. In addition to the legal and asylum political external conditions, the influence of media and politics on the local populations way of thinking towards refugees is being discussed. Furthermore, the integration and socialization processes are being dealt with. For the empirical study, a quantitative survey with a self-generated questionnaire had been carried out. The thesis statement of the paper should clarify if integration processes in sports have an impact on the attitude of students towards unattended underage refugees. For this purpose, the organized alternative hypothesis, that the attitude of university students through sports is being influenced in a positive way, has been put forward. In the course of this paper, the hypothesis could be confirmed. Due to the investigation of a high significance and effect size, this statement can be applied to the totality of all university students in Austria.
