Since the year 2005 the styrian parliament is known as one of the most recent regional parliaments in Europe. The reason for this was the implementation of a digital parliamentary work- and administrative-system, called PALLAST. Since this implementation all the parliamentary processes were done digital and paperless. For that reason not only financially economies could be reached, but also effort and time was been economized. And because of the enormous reduction of paper consumption it was gained a positive environmental effect. In the year 2015 the 10-year old system was been fully renewed and upgraded to the version 2.0.Before the implementation in 2005 was possible, there were previous changes necessary, like changes in the agenda of the styrian parliament, sundry surveys regarding the work-flows and effort, or sourcing the needed infrastructure. It turned out, that the benefit for the attendants of the parliament and the extensive economies are enormous important for the styrian parliament. The upgrade to the version 2.0 was the next logical step to adapt to the newest technical standards.
