This Masters thesis is concerned with health education in Styrian institutions for adult education. In the course of the thesis, the health education targets of the Frauengesundheitszentrum Graz, Männerberatung Graz, and Schloss Retzhof will be examined closely. Further, it will be investigated if the collected data on health education targets concurs with the Austrian health targets. In addition, their dealings with similarities and differences concerning gender in health education will be analyzed. The basis of this thesis is the topicality of this issue and the importance of early health prevention. The collected data consists of interviews conducted with health education experts of the aforementioned institution and path analysis. The findings illustrate the health targets of the institutions, confirm the adherence to the Austrian health targets, and conclude on the dealings of the Styrian institutions for adult education with similarities and differences concerning gender in health education.
