Social work and psychotherapy are two disciplines, that arent associate with another right away, but often encounter each other in practice. Their intersection is deceived by the commmon separated view on the disciplines. In this thesis we would like to take a closer look on those hidden parts. The goal is to locate the cooperation of psychotherapists and social workers in the field of child and youth work, as well as to compare those disciplines. Therefore we used a guideline to interview social workers and psychotherapists. We came to the conclusion, that the collaboration varies a lot. However, the respondents require a more intensive cooperation of the disciplines. Differences of social work and psychotherapy as well as commonalities were detected, which are explained further in the empirical part of the thesis.
