The present work deals with the issue of autism-specific treatment and its effect on the development of people with autism spectrum disorders. The theory part describes disorders from the autism-spectrum. Additional contents are different programs for the treatment and it also includes programs of treatment which are considered as critical by research. Since the empirical part of the work has been created in collaboration with the association Magnus, the concept of the association is explained also. The effect areas, on which autism-specific treatment has influence, are also content of the theoretical part. For the study to this master thesis were structured interviews conducted with parents of children with autism spectrum disorders. Those were evaluated on the basis of qualitative content analysis. The result of the interviews is that the treatment has a positive impact in the various areas of daily life.
